Hi,

I think that I have isolated an issue which is now clearly persistent.

If I create a file and copy a PDF in it, the file become quite sensible on dragging / modifying any new object created in it ...

This is never the case for files without PDF copied in it

Thanks for your support

@ClaudeK, appologies if I've completely misunderstood what you are reporting here as a bug but you seem to be saying that, dragging and/or modifying new objects created in an Affinity Designer file is responsive / works well only after you've pasted a pdf into the Designer file but the Designer file is less responive, i.e., it is less easy to drag and/or modify new objects created in an Affinity Deisnger file if it hasn't previously had a pdf file pasted into it, is that the case?

I could perhaps understand if it were the other way around but if so, are you able to upload a screen recording demonstrating the issue you're experiencing so we can get a better feel for the problem?

Thanks for your report @ClaudeK and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble!

As above, I'm not 100% certain if this issue is occuring after importing a PDF document into your Designer file, but if this is the case can you please confirm for me - does this happen with any PDF file, or only specific ones?

If this only occurs after importing a specific PDF document, can you please provide a copy of this PDF file here for me?

Can you also please confirm the exact steps you are using to introduce this PDF file into Designer? Where are you 'copying' the PDF file from? Does the same issue occur if you use File > Place and select the PDF file in this dialog?

Many thanks in advance :)
