walt.farrell
20 minutes ago, Yves POUJOL said: Document applati Sorry, but I don't know what that means. Affinity Photo files (.afphoto) will be much larger than RAW files in general, because the RAW file will use 10-14 bits per pixel but the Developed file will use 24 bits per pixel (RGB/8) or 48 bits per pixel (RGB/16) or 96 bits per pixel (RGB/32). Plus an additional 8 or 16 or 32 bits per pixel if you have document transparency enabled. So the first question would be what format you're developing to. You can control a lot of the size by using RGB/8 instead of RGB/16 or RGB/32. Next, the .afphoto file will have an initial Snapshot, unless you delete it using the Snapshot panel. And each layer will require more data. Merging the Layers will save space, but it's destructive, of course. Also, History will add much more data if you save it with the document. However, in Photo 2 you can Develop to a Linked RAW layer, which will cut down significantly on the size of the .afphoto file, but you will need to retain the original RAW file, too, as separate document. But an afphoto file is a project file that contains a lot of information - including non-image information. The actual image file is only obtained through the export process.
