Rule of Thirds - Cropping

Recommended Posts

To whom it may concern,

I think that it would be an amazing feature if export persona had a rule of thirds type grid for slicing or something of the sort. That or if we could crop the document size with a rule of thirds type document crop, I think that would be extremely helpful.

Thanks,
David K?

Hi DavidKroutArt,

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

In Affinity Photo, select the Crop Tool, go to the context bar (right above the work area) and select the type of Overlay you want from the dropdown. You can choose between Thirds Grid (rule of thirds), Golden Spiral and Diagonals to help compose the crop.

How do I get to Affinity Photo? Is there a separate program specifically for exporting?

I usually go to Export Personal and it does not have those options.

Hi David,

I though you're referring to Affinity Photo when you asked about cropping. Seems you were talking about Affinity Designer (those are different programs).

Those features are not available in Affinity Designer, sorry.

Affinity Photo is a professional RAW converter/developer and photo editing software. You can find more info here.
