Feature is suggested.

Currently, shapes that can be drawn are limited to triangles, rectangles, and pentagons. It would be nice to have an option to select how many square shapes to draw when you select the shape tool and click on the page. FYI, the Apple Keynote program also allows you to draw polygons and change them to other polygons.

Also, in the case of the triangle tool, if you hold down Shift and draw a triangle, a triangle with the base and height of a square is drawn instead of an equilateral triangle. I would like to be able to draw an equilateral triangle by default. On the other hand, in the case of a pentagon, a regular pentagon is drawn.

Affinity already has this feature - select the Polygon tool (the pentagon icon) and then choose the number of sides in the Context Bar. You can change the number of sides for an existing polygon through the Context Bar.

To draw an equilateral triangle, select the Triangle tool and then click the Presets button in the Context bar. Choose the orientation you want and then draw. Or choose the Polygon tool and choose 3 sides.

Cheers
