Intuos5 Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Not sure if Serif likes the idea, but it might be nice to have a toggle-able overlay when recording screencasts that displays hotkeys and mouse clicks. Makes it easier for us to show to you where things may go wrong. Just an idea — but it doesn't really belong to the ideas requests either. 😉 For Windows, there's Microsoft's Powertoys that has a mouse click overlay (but since it doesn't do keyboard shortcuts AFAIK I generally forget about it). This is what I mean, illustrated by Blender's Screencast keys: It displays commands on the left and the mouse buttons and keys pressed on the right (if you press other buttons, it will fade out the old ones in a list as well). MikeTO Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 This might just be wanted for Windows. Recording the screen on macOS can show the mouse clicks and users can record the screen with the on-screen keyboard shown so that Serif can see what keys you're pressing when.
