Ampersand Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 I would like to use drop caps in a text. I can’t find the option in the paragraph or in the character panel, nor in the style editor. An internet search turned up a description of how to apply drop caps in the V1 manual, but there is no mention of drop caps in the V2 manual. Has this feature been removed in V2, or am I just not looking in the right places? (For now, I’ll just create a separate text box for my drop cap, the workaround is simple enough, but I still wonder about this functionality) Edit for clarity Quote
PaulEC Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 It's also available under Paragraph > Drop Caps (I'm pretty sure it was the same in v1.) walt.farrell Posted February 14, 2023 Posted February 14, 2023 It may also be worth mentioning that Drop Caps are a Publisher feature, only, in both V1 and V2. @Ampersand did not mention which Affinity application they're using. Is this a feature exclusive to Publisher? Or is it also available in Designer? I thought I had seen the option in Designer in the recent past but I am not seeing it now. Quote

Note that you can use Text Styles in Designer that have it set already, as @Return mentioned, but you won't be able to adjust the settings without returning to Publisher. Sorry, but I don't see the spot in that screenshot where you can adjust the Drop Cap settings (which is what I said would be missing from Designer).
