I don't know if its a bug or by design.

in attached image you can see the Global spot colors.

If they are used in a gradient fill, you cant change their opacity. 

Global colors are ok.

@Rondem, FWIW, this seems to be working on macOS as expected, I assume when you're adjsting the opacity slider for the selected node nothing is happening for you?

I see. So its only not working in this top menu.

I've tried the color and swatches panel and it works there.

Thanks for your report!

I can confirm I've been able to replicate this here, alongside a few other inconsistencies with adding noise to these gradient 'stops' on macOS & Windows so I'm logging this with our devs now.
