Thanks for the idea, I hadn't thought of that.   I was trying to figure out how to take a circle shap and bisect using any two points.  Seems like I'm missing some fundamental technique to make that happen.   But the donut actually worked great for what I needed.

 

Is there a way to bisect a circle shape in to two arcs?

Yes, there is the boolean method, but I think it's a lot of unnecessary work in this case.

I'm no expert though, so if anyone want to chime in.. feel free. There are several roads to Rome. ;)

 

I recommend to take a look at the tutorials about boolean methods.
