Hello everyone! I am making printable planner inserts but I need crop marks down the middle of the page so users can know where to cut them down the middle. The crop marks are around the edge, but I cannot get them to show for the middle. inDesign did give me middle crop marks, so I am hoping publisher will too. I'll attach a screenshot for reference.

@starstruckplans, welcome to the forums...

As far as I know, it's not currently possible to add centre crop marks so I would set a vertical guide to the relevant position and just add two manual crop marks using the pen tool...

If you activate Registration Marks you'll get auto-centred marks which you can easily use as Crop / Cutting Marks.

This will of course work for the sample posted though it would still be great to see the addition of a 'Create Trim Marks from Rectangle' option which Illustrator has had forever so it could be used where you have multiple artwork on the same canvas all requiring crop marks...

Thanks. This was actually really helpful and I don't know why I didn't think of this. This worked for what I need. Thanks again!

@starstruckplans, no problem, there's usually several different ways to achieve the desired outcome, @thomaso's sugestion would work for the example you posted as well assuming the location you wanted to trim was dead centre in your artwork...

I've had to add many manual crops in my time which is why I miss Illustrator's 'Rectangle to Crop Marks' feature and hope it's something that may be added to the Affinity suite one day in some form or other... :)
