Ron P. Posted February 13, 2023 Posted February 13, 2023 Stumbled across this bug(?) while helping another customer with a AD V1 issue of AD crashing. See this post.. I tested this with V2 and discovered AD would not crash, but instead just deleted the objects. However if I do Layer>Expand Stroke on the objects, the result was as expected, the Geometry would be applied. 2023-02-13 03-06-41.mp4 crashV2.afdesign Quote Affinity Photo 2.5..; Affinity Designer 2.5..; Affinity Publisher 2.5..; Affinity2 Beta versions. Staff NathanC Posted February 15, 2023 Staff Posted February 15, 2023 Hey @Ron P., I raised this example originally with the developers in regards to the V2 behaviour (along with the V1 crash), however I got the response that since they are unfilled, unclosed objects the boolean operation result is empty. Once expand stroke is used they become filled and are closed, which is why the operations then work. There is an issue currently logged with the developers in relation to how this operation is handled on unclosed curves (Instead of just deleting the curves when running it) so i've bumped it with your report.
