Hi @thomasmoulson,

Thanks for your post and our sincerest apologies for the delayed response here. We are exceptionally busy following the release of V2 and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding here.

Using the Move Tool and the Command Controller you can enable the Shift modifier, which will constrain the object you are resizing to it's current aspect ratio.

If you are resizing Vector objects, you can enable 'Scale with object' in the Stroke Studio to retain the proportions of the vector strokes whilst resizing.

Finally, the Transform Studio allows to to resize your selection to specific values, or enable 'Scale Override' to force the scaling of your strokes when resizing.

I hope this helps!

Hi, thanks for this reply !

The ipad designer v1 "aspect ratio" resizing was much simpler with a single touch for me.

Is is possible to change the default behaviour somewhere in the app as "always proportional" when resizing a vector object (layer) ?

Best,

Comment: Oh I've just noticed that a single touch still maintain a proportional aspect ratio if the shape is selected, then resized … Curious, i could not do that at first…

Unfortunately no such setting exists as far as I'm aware, my apologies.

See below, my mistake!

Can you please expand on this behaviour you're referring to for me? If possible a screen recording showing the behaviour in V1 would help me to better understand your workflow, as I'm not personally aware of a large overhaul in behaviour here.

As I understand it, for V1 you would need to hold down an additional finger on screen when resizing objects to preserve the aspect ratio, as this is the modifier to use the Shift key whilst resizing, and this behaviour is still present in V2.
Equally, this can now be done with the Command Controller in V2, meaning you no longer need to press and hold on the screen separately when resizing objects to preserve the aspect ratio - though I may be misunderstanding your workflow here!

Yes, it is. It’s the same as in version 1 (and the same as in both versions of the desktop apps):
