Cannot change file name.

Hi, 

starting with a great appreciation for your software and your work on it. After purchasing Affinity suite V2 I started using Affinity designer on IPad Pro 3rd gen with M1 processor. But I’m struggling with the option of chance the file name that is totally missing in my software. Swiping on the file the only options I see are the one for saving on the device and duplicate file, no way to change the file name. I’m only allowed to change folder’s name, not files’. Can you help me?

Rename was removed as it caused issues. (It only updated the Live Doc name, not the external file name).

Your only options are: 

1. to use three bar menu Save as to create a copy that you can name again or,

2. Save the LiveDoc externally (three bar menu/save). Close the live doc (this deletes the internal file so save first or lose your document). Open Files app, navigate to previously saved file, rename file. Open file again in Affinity (this creates a new icon and a new internal file.

Yes it’s a pain but until Affinity come up with a fix, it’s all we can do.🙁
