i'm brand new so forgive me if this topic is somewhere in this forum.

 

I want to fade an image to white across its width. I have a number of letterbox shaped images which I want to be normal on the left hand side and fading from about halfway into white on the right hand side.

I have attached an example of what I need to do

Hello fearofflying,

 

I do this alway with layer masks.

Click on layer mask.

Fill is with a gradient white to black.

White is transparent and nothing changes.

Black hides the layer.

Depending on your project, you need a white layer below.

I used this in my tutorials.
