I have a number of letterbox shaped images which I want to be normal on the left hand side and fading from about halfway into white on the right hand side. PixelPest
You can do it in Affinity Designer as well using a rectangle with a gradient fill as a mask set to eraser mode: Cheers P.
Staff MEB Posted March 17, 2016 Staff Share Posted March 17, 2016 Hi PixelPest, Welcome to Affinity Forums :) You can also apply the linear transparency directly to the image using the Transparency Tool. Affinity Jack
i'm brand new so forgive me if this topic is somewhere in this forum. I want to fade an image to white across its width. I have a number of letterbox shaped images which I want to be normal on the left hand side and fading from about halfway into white on the right hand side. Keith I have attached an example of what I need to do Hello fearofflying, I do this alway with layer masks. Click on layer mask. Fill is with a gradient white to black. White is transparent and nothing changes. Black hides the layer. Depending on your project, you need a white layer below. I used this in my tutorials.
