I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue:

1) A Paragraph Style is created

2) Style is applied to a paragraph - actually two words in a Running Head

3) actual text only partially updates - missing italics and correct font size

4) Paragraph Style shows +

5) actual text amended with italics and correct font size

6) Paragraph Style - no +

7) Update Paragraph Style applied

8) Style applied to new text - same issue

This does not happen with other Paragraph Styles.

I appreciate I can create a completely new Paragraph Style - Running Head not based on the old one. But that would mean making 500 manual updates to apply the new style, which I am keen to avoid.

Any observations or feedback welcome.

Thanks,

Dennison

Before applying the paragraph style, is the text "basic" (no character styles or something) ?

No hidden code in that text ?

Copy and paste in textedit (not in RTF mode) and copy and paste back in publisher ?

If you copy that text in a new publisher document and send it here I'll look at the hex for hidden characters… ?

You should use a Character Style for this.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

I'm curious why?

A FOLLOW-UP to this weird behaviours:

When I click Update Paragraph Style a random change is introduced which was NOT in the style.

The black round bullets get changed to diamonds, even though the round bullet was in the text that was being used.

Every since V2 the Test Styles have been behaving oddly.

Is it possible for you to post screen shots of your style settings and if you are copying and pasting text can you please confirm where the original text is from
