Godlessape Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Duplicate canvas was such a handy feature, not being able to duplicate has added extra distracting leg work for me. I need to re-use assets multiple times for different concepts and they are intricately layered, having to save as, close, open and search then save as again is time consuming compared to one swipe left. I know the issue was file name related but surely thats a simple fix (the copy.copy.copy was annoying but it was easy to fix with a simple rename. Please bring back that feature - it really is a time saver!! (am I the only one?) Quote
Godlessape Posted February 9, 2023 Author Posted February 9, 2023 Honestly, I want to go back to using affinity one just for that feature, but all my files are now affinty2 which are not backwards compatible :p Quote

loukash Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 So you're apparently talking about the iPad version? That would be an important info to note in the first place. fde101 Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 This is indeed a rather curious omission. I agree it would be nice to have this back as the workaround for its omission is a somewhat lengthy process. That said, I don't think "Duplicate Canvas" is an appropriate name for this (nor did Serif use it on the menu item). It is really more of a "Duplicate Document" feature. Quote

It also helps to make sure the 2 items remaining in the hamburger menu which is still present will always fit on the iPad's clearly too-small display and takes less effort to use than does simply tapping on the menu button. The epitome of great design... </scarcasm> Quote
