laurent32
Maybe @Erichi wants to point out that if 255 red is chosen, when you check the different spots where that color is shown, the red is slyghtly different, it shouldn't, I agree… Maybe some approximation with the profiles ? Yes exacly, the the 255 Red is only showing in the main Image, any other related Color shows as 218:81:17 Orange. But i have no idea how to fix it, all my ICC Profiles match up... i mean i suppose i could correct everything on IPad but thas not really a good solution :I
GarryP
I’m seeing the same issue on Windows 10. If I make a rectangle red (R 255, G 0, B 0) and then use the eye dropper in the Colour Panel I get R 254, G 0, B 0 when I mouse over the: Fill on the Context Tool Toolbar; The layer thumbnail in the Layers Panel; The Fill Well in the Colour Panel. Applying the picked colour via the colour picker gives me R 255, G 0, B 0 in the Colour Panel. When I do the same for green (R 0, G 255, B 0) I get the colour R 3, G 252, B 44 and I get that colour in the Colour Panel when I apply it. Doing the same for blue (R 0, G 0, B 255) gives me R 0, G 52, B 252 and that’s the colour I get when it’s applied. My document Colour Format is “RGB/8” and the Colour Profile is “sRGB IEC61966-2,1”. The same thing happens on both my laptop display and external monitor.
Erichi
Oh i didn't even try other Colors! I just testet it because the Color icon seemed off, compared to the main image. I tested to change ICC Profiles on an existing Image which just changed the main Image and didnt seem to have any influence on the Icons whatsoever. Staff NathanC Posted March 22 Staff Share Posted March 22 Hey all, Apologies on the late reply, a similar query was raised in a separate thread surrounding Mac, so i've raised this internally with the product experts to see if I can get a more definitive answer on the colour picker's behaviour in relation to the display's colour profile, once I get a response i'll feedback here.
