I can confirm the crashing. Please upload a couple of the latest crashes to your reply so Serif can examine them.

There's something that AD does not like, could be FX,or something else. Need to play around and see which is causing the crash.

Sometimes the crashing is caused by hyperlinks that are misconfigured…

You could check them, don't you have a trailing space somewhere ?

Ugh. Here is the file. Street Billboard Sign v.1.afdesignCan't stop it from crashing when exporting to a pdf (press ready).

The cause of the crash is the 3D FX applied to The Neurodiversity Clinic text. Turn that individual FX off for each instance of the text in all variations of the logo design and everything exports to a PDF (Press Ready) file without crashing.

This looks like a bug.

The issue "Exporting attached file as a PDF (Press ready preset) crashes Designer, caused by 3d FX applied to text layers." (REF: AFD-6456) has been fixed by the developers in internal build "2.1.0.1714".
This fix should soon be available as a customer beta and is planned for inclusion in the next customer release.
Customer beta builds are announced here and you can participate by following these instructions.
If you still experience this problem once you are using that build version (or later) please reply to this thread including @Serif Info Bot to notify us.

Hi Rett,

I've confirmed this issue logged this as a bug to be investigated.

Thank you! I'd like to export this for a job that's going to be printed in a couple weeks. Wonder if they could fix the bug before that lol. Maybe I can try opening it in the original Affinity and redesigning it there and exporting it.

Hi @Rett, if it helps, I've just managed to export all three designs in the lastest 2.1 Beta, .1713 on macOS, .1714 on Windows so if you haven't already it may be worth signing up for the Beta Programme...

Installing the Beta, which you can do alongside any retail version, and then exporting your files rather than having to rework everything...

Obviously entirely up to you but I just thought it may save you a lot of time and effort... :)

Hi Rett, that’s no problem at all, I’m glad the Beta’s worked for you and that you’ve now been able to export your files successfully 😀

I solved the problem by modifying a curve Stroke setting on one of the shape layers. 'Align Stroke to Outside' was set on a shape and causing the whole app to crash on export to pdf. So I set it to 'Align Stroke to Centre' (default) which solved it. I don't think pdf format can handle different stroke alignments.
