I recently upgraded the version of Affinity Photo from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 and now the application will not launch. I see the splash screen, and then nothing else and I have to force quit the application.

I am using a MacBook Pro 13-inch, M1, 2020 running Ventura 13.2.

I downloaded the application again and reinstalled it, and have the same result.

I normally have many many tracking sites blocked via my /etc/hosts file, but I restored the default one and there is no change.

The other thing I can think of is that I run the application as a standard (non-admin) MacOS user. I did use an admin username and password to install the application to the standard /Applications folder.

I don't see any Reports from within Console, but I'm not very familiar with looking there...

I noticed that the same thing happens for Affinity Publisher 2.0.4 as well. But I have had Designer 2.0.4 open for a few weeks and it is working fine.

I don't know if there is anything in the Console Log that is useful here or not...

I don't know why, but it started working a few days later. I didn't reboot or change anything that I'm aware of, so I am at a loss for an explanation, but am happy to no longer have the issue.
