Index picking up formatting from somewhere weird?

Suddenly after clicking "update index" the program decided to use "Table Contents Label" for each index entry, even though the first (Ability Checks) does not use that formatting. So I have no idea how it came up with that Character Style for each index entry. 

Can I force each index entry to a style of my choosing.

You can't choose your index styles so this is odd. I suggest simply deleting the index and re-inserting it.

I think it was because Index Entry text style had a "no change" font, I explicitly picked one and I think it is fixed now
