andristzr Posted February 6, 2023 Posted February 6, 2023 I know that Affinity does its own thing, but I see this as a very handy feature from photoshop that makes the workflow so much easier when working with brushes. It feels very alien to keep going to the top bar to make settings and it slows down the development of my work. I don't see it as something impossible to implement, and even though this is a Photoshop feature, it's always great to take the best practices and apply them in your software as well. Hope to see this feature in future updates. Thanks! lepr and thomasp 2 Quote

andristzr Posted February 6, 2023 Author Posted February 6, 2023 (edited) Yes, that is an alternative way to work (Photoshop uses the same keybindings for those actions), but the context menu feels that I have more control when I set up my brushes, such as orientation and shape of the brush and also what brush preset I want to use. Size, softness and axial lock are not enough. Having the menu open keeps me close to the subject I am working on, and I do not have to constantly switch my eyes up and down to the top bar to fiddle with the settings. I know it sounds insignificant, but the workflow itself is much more fluid this way and having more handy options improves work performance with brushes. Edited February 6, 2023 by andristzr Quote
