I recently updated Affinity Photo, and a few days after, Affinity Designer. As I use Designer much more often, as soon as I started to use it, my computer suffered random screens blackouts forcing me to restart every single time. It use to happens opening designer, some times opening photo, and sometimes other graphic programs as Sketchbook, but it all started once I updated to V. 2.0.4

I never had any problem like this in my PC before.

Any clue??

Windows 10 home/version 22H2/64bits

Graphic card: Nvidia quadro k2200 (controller updated today)

RAM: 16 GB

CPU: Intel i-7 8700K

Hi @Andando,

Thanks for your report and sorry to hear you're having trouble.

If this is occurring with other applications, it would indicate an issue with your GPU, or GPU drivers.

I appreciate you have recently updated your GPU drivers, but it's possible there are older drivers installed on your system that are still being used, even after installing the latest versions.

Therefore I'd recommend using a tool such as DDU (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html) to remove all GPU drivers from your system.

Once removed, re-install the latest drivers for your card, directly from NVidias website - then restart your PC and try launching Affinity once again.

Does this resolve the flashing screen issue for you please? :)

Please note -

I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time.

Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible.

Many thanks!
