Affinity version 2.04

Mac OS: Ventura 13.1

Steps I did when the program crashed:

  1. Start Affinity Photo 2.
  2. Open a previously saved affinity project based on a Canon CR3 raw-file.
  3. Close Affinity Photo 2 by clicking the red-dot in the top-left corner.
  4. Open Affinity Photo 2 again and there is no open picture, of course. However in the layer stack, the layers from the previous CR3 file is visible.
  5. Click on one of the layers (possibly double-click).
  6. Affinity Photo 2 crash.

Attached is the MacOs crash dump

Hi Torsten,

Welcome to the forums...

I can confirm this is happening across all three apps and it isn't specifically related to Canon CR3 Raw files. It will happen with any document. I get the crash consistently at Step 5 if I attempt to give any layer a name, the second I hit enter after naming a layer the app will crash.

This is clearly a bug, so it will be picked up by the Serif team and logged, if it isn't already logged.

It seems that the layer stack isn't emptied when the program is closed with the top left red dot. If I close the project only, the stack is cleared.
