Gemini80 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 In the attached video you will see a clear line between shapes that are actually perfect copies of one another - I made copies, flipped them and then snapped them to meet - it looks good but upon bouncing down (and when zooming in) the line between where the shapes meet is visible - I have really thought about how to solve this but so far no luck. I tried adding the shapes per boolean operation but then the half of the ring-shape which is behind the planet moves upfront which is of course not useable... All tips would be awesome! user_0815 Posted February 2, 2023 Posted February 2, 2023 In such cases i would overlap them. If you don’t like overlapping, then perhaps try the substract operation to cut it to a perfect fit. But before that I would make an export to the intended final format and check whether the gaps are visible there. It might be just a render thing at high zoom levels. Gemini80 1 Quote
Gemini80 Posted February 10, 2023 Author Posted February 10, 2023 Hi - thanks for your reply - I ended up nudging them both inwards and that worked - but I do not understand the mechanics of taking a perfect circle, cutting it in half, copying the half, flipping it horizontally and moving it over to have two halves right next to one another - why does this result in a clear line at the division point (considering the colors and dimension are absolutely identical!?? debraspicher 1 Quote
