Change bulleted/numbered lists to plain text

Can I switch my numbered lists to plain text? So that what was

1. My text

2. More of the same

now has the numbers 1 and 2 as editable text rather than a numbered list?

Menu “Text → Expand → Expand List” should do what you want.
(I think this is only available in Publisher, I can't see it in Designer or Photo, but I might have missed it.)
