Chris789
I was working between multiple applications. When I came back to Affinity Photo 2, all I saw was the file I was working on and the rulers. No tools, statusbar, etc. I managed to bring most of it back via the "View" menu. But I cannot reactivate the panels. What I tried so far: restart Affinity, reboot the machine, etc. The app is pretty much unusuable like this. My environment: M1 Macbook, MacOS Ventura 13.1 (22C65), Affinity Photo 2.0.

walt.farrell
It would help to see the menu item above the panels list, which in English would be Window > Studio. MikeTO
I believe R C-R is correct. This is what the macOS version looks like when the user interface is hidden, the studio panel names are all grey in the menu. So Chris, please try pressing Tab. It's the shortcut for turning the user interface on and off to give yourself more room to see your document. Chris789
So, this is what my Studio menu looked like. I have no clue what it does and I've never used it so far. Anyhow, I clicked "Studio zurücksetzen" (reset) and my UI looks as expected again! Thanks everybody for chiming in! walt.farrell

In that screenshot, you have "Hide Studio" selected. You either manually selected that at some point, or pressed Shift+Cmd+H (its shortcut), or it's a holdover from your having pressed Tab (the short for Toggle UI) as @R C-R suggested. To recover, all you needed to do was untick that option, or press Shift+Cmd+H again, or press Tab again. Ideally, if it was Tab that caused it, you would just press it again before starting to manually restore View items, as that's much simpler Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
