I am attempting to draw lines using the pen tool in line mode, on a black & white photo. These photos are to be used in instructional videos. On some photos I can draw lines with no difficulty, while on others, no line shows when using the pen tool. I have set my line colour and width, selected the object.

I can have two photos open, on one I can draw a straight line, on the other I cannot. As far as I can tell, all of my settings are the same.

Any ideas as to why the line doesn't show?

More info on this. I can copy-paste lines from the "working" photo, to the "not working" photo and manipulate them there, but I still can't create new lines on the "not working" photo.

You may want to upload some screenshots, a screencast, or an example document of what you're trying to accomplish.

This morning the pen tool is now working on all photos. Definitely a bug of some sort as restarting the program made a difference. Three photos all from the same shoot, all jpegs, doing the same thing on all three and it would only draw lines and create the appropriate layers on one of the photos. Now it's working, for now.

Spoke too fast. It seems to have stopped working on one photo. This duplicates what it was doing yesterday. Works for a while then stops working.

I'll put something together to illustrate this.

More problems. The photos that will not allow the use of the pen tool, also do open properly. They open without any edits when I open AD2 and show as the original image, but when I close and reopen them, the edits are there.

Very buggy behaviour.

Hi Pcharles,

The Youtube link you provided doesn't seem to be working for me here please could you provide it again? If possible could you also provide a demonstration of the new issue you have mentioned?

Thanks
C
