Zero Zero Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 When in Publisher about to export to PDF format adjusting various render options it would be so helpful to get a real-time calculation of the final pdf file size BEFORE rendering. At present I am constantly making various adjustments and rendering to find a large pdf file, having to go through the process again and again. I'm trying to obtain the best quality verses small file size. Thank you. GarryP Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 Is there something wrong with what you get already? See attached image. Quote
Zero Zero Posted January 31, 2023 Author Posted January 31, 2023 Thanks Garry for pointing this out. I've been so distracted waiting for the Preview window (which seems to be related to the Estimated File Size) to calculate I completely missed the obvious. Shows just how easy it is to distract our attention from something right in front of our eyes. As the Preview window is so small I wonder why it needs to be there at all, especially as it seems to only display Page 01? I cannot seem to be able to disable it. Anyone know why it takes so long? I have a new computer with a 12C/24T chip, 64 Gb Ram and running the software off an extremely fast Samsung M2 drive? Thanks. Really impressed with the Software Suite 2.0.4 now that it comes with MSI installers.
