Affinity Photo V1 / Windows 11 22H2

I open an image file and want to save it or export it as PNG or JPG. Error messages follow that the file cannot be created. Or there are indications that permissions are missing - ask the administrator. (If I save the same file as AFPHOTO, it works.) Until recently it worked flawlessly. Other programs (XnView, Photoshop CS6) do not have this problem. I completely uninstalled Affinity Photo, deleted all entries under C:\users and reinstalled. Nothing changes. => => It seems that Affinity Photo does not get write permission for the file system.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

My guess: it may be an issue with your anti-virus or anti-malware protection, possibly Windows Defender's Controlled Folders Access. So, if you might see what functions like that you have active, and try disabling them to see if that resolves the problem. If it does resolve it, then you need to adjust the configuration of whichever function was preventing the activity.

Thank you for your answer!

It was the Avast One Free-program. After Affinity declared as an exception everything works fine.

I just wonder why the program was suddenly detected as a threat after it worked flawlessly for over a year.
