Installing App without verification code

Has anyone tried installing an Ipad App without using a verification code?

I had read that it is possible by removing payment details, has anyone tried this?

In my case yes it is, because I lost my assets and couldnt create any new assets so it appeared the installation was corrupt, I, offloaded the app and wanted to re-install but cant right now because cant verify code.

Which app are you talking about (and what release)?

I don't think any of them use anything cashed a verification code. So maybe a screenshot would be useful, too.

I prefer not to upload private info to a public server.

I can log in, but then requires verification code.

I cant give a verification code, it says its loading, but load failed.

Thanks. Still not sure what you mean by a verification code, as I've never seen a prompt for anything like that. Maybe someone else will be able to help. Hope you get it worked out.

Why didn’t you simply reset the assets? Plenty of posts here referring to ‘fixing asset not loading’.

Close app, restart app, when splash screen appears tap twice on screen (one finger). On reset screen select what you want to reset (eg. Assets), press Done.  Wait till app starts and then install assets. 🙂

Never been asked for one. Did you receive email from Apple with a verification code?

I just offloaded an app at random, then reinstalled and no Verification code required.

Ok, I realized whats going on, but cant install until, I get my phone back, in a few weeks.

The installation verification is an Apple related problem.

Yes, an issue with 2-factor authentication.

But if you need 2FA to login, and you have it set to use a device you don't have, then how do you login to change the option you have selected?

The verification code is to authorize payment, so apps with no in-app purchases can install. I installed an app today, upon installation it asked if I wanted to set up in-app purchases I said no, and the app installed no issues.

The example provided states a verification message has been sent to the phone number. Messages sent to my phone can be read from my iPad . In Settings Messages I have both my email and phone number entered. I don’t recall needing access to my phone. Just needed to sign in with same Apple ID as used on phone.

Are you using an Apple iPhone? I am not.  I see no way to connect a phone number to my iMessages.
