show control characters in AffPublisher

It's controlled by Text > Show Special Characters in the menu.

I'm going to guess you're on a Mac, where the default setting of Ctrl+W in v1 would toggle Preview Mode on or off. That does a lot more than showing or not showing special characters, though,

Hi, by control characters do you mean special characters (aka hidden or invisibles)? You can choose Text > Show Special Characters to view those.

If this is what you're referring to, you probably created that shortcut in v1 yourself as there is no default shortcut assigned to this command.
