alhagrafisk Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 When I open Preflight in Publisher V2 it always said "Missing dictionary for language (da-dk). Where can I find the dictionary for danish? Quote
MikeTO Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Hi, you'll find the information here for installing the dictionary. walt.farrell Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 And when looking at that FAQ, it is best to use the instructions in the first post to create the folder where you need to store the dictionary files, but then download the files from the second post. If you try to download them yourself from GitHub (as mentioned in the first post in the FAQ) you are likely to get them downloaded in the wrong format, and they won't work. No, they are not supplied with the product (at least on Windows). Possibly they are supported on Mac, where Spellchecking is tied more closely into the OS and the languages you have installed there. Or perhaps you added the Danish dictionary files previously for V1, and have simply forgotten doing it? If you still have V1 installed, and you're on Windows, you could look in C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries and see if you have a da_DK (or perhaps da-DK) directory there. If so, you installed it yourself. On Mac, open the application Preferences, Tools, and near the bottom you will (I think) see the base directory for added dictionaries, and can Open it to browse it.
