It would be great if Affinity gets the possibility for multiple grids in the same document. It can be done like normal layers, but for grids. This will make designing with compound grids possible for more complex graphic design.

Have you tried the Advanced mode?
Also, you can add the Column guides with or without gutter to the mix as a "supporting grid".
Additionally, in Publisher you can set up and apply multiple Master Pages with custom sets of regular guides. Then you can show/hide any guide sets via the Layers panel simply be showing/hiding the master page layers. Once set up for a document via (File > Edit in) Publisher, it will also work in Designer or Photo.

i think @ceocan talk about guide and not grid, have the ability to build a "guide" of 5 cols for images and a "guide" 3 cols for text with different colors.

I'm both talking about a column grid and a modular grids. In Affinity you can make a grids with the "guide" and "grid" manager. The thing is that if you want to have multiple grids for an interesting layout you have to setup, for example, a column grid with the "guide" manager and place "Ruler guides" before you can change the guide manager for the second column grid. For experimenting with different grid options it would be awesome if you could make multiple grids with de "guide" and "grid" managers. Switching between Designer and Publishing, making different masterpages, setting al up again, and changing it a few times takes quite a while. Having the options for multiple grids will be way more productive

Working with lots of grids at the same time sounds like it could be a bit of a pain, what with all the extra snapping points.
Would you be able to give us an idea of the sort of thing you might want to create with multiple grids?
A visual example would be useful.
If we can see the sort of thing that you want then maybe other people will want that too and ‘add their voices’ to your request.

File > Edit in Publisher
File > Edit in Designer
Takes literally two keyboard shortcuts to switch back and forth.

The stuff you'd do inbetween these two commands would likely take about the same "while" if it were available directly in Designer.

Here an earlier example I posted the other day on a similar topic:

Once you've set up your master page grids using regular guides, you can return to Designer, where you can edit and turn the master page layers on and off as you see fit.
The only thing that Designer can't do is to create master pages. You need Publisher for that.

Caveat:

It won't work with artboards. :(

I hope I did sth wrong, but apparently there are at least 2 issues with "Grid and axis" in publisher, that in my opinion make this tool of little use:

yes, you can set up a grid for a master page and apply particular (different) setup for a different page (you have to click on that page for the effect to take place), but:

1. if you have facing pages option in the "model" tab (document setup) turned on, you have one grid setup (the same) on both pages with the origin on the first page. additionally all the layers on those 2 pages are joined in one layer stack ! (WHY !?). I just want to see how those pages look together 🤔

2. not only you can't have more than 2 pages in one spread, you can't have a different grid layout on each page, starting at the origin of each page separately.
