How do I import all of my Shortcuts from Affinity publisher V1 into V2

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the forums :)

Try the Load and Save buttons, upper right of the Preferences>Shortcuts dialog. In V1 use the Save, then in V2 use the Load. ;)

While that generally works, not all shortcuts will migrate (MacOS here). My guess is that it's "by design" so that only shortcuts that match the respective command and its menu position in both versions will be applied. It's a useful aid, but the rest will have to be added manually.
Worked for me pretty fast by comparing the shortcuts preferences lists back and forth via app switching (cmd-tab) while both peferences windows were at the same position, hence seeing any differences visually: sort of comparing by "animation".

MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2

I also tried to "Save" and Load" the shortcuts from V1 to V2 and - unfortunately!!!! - it DOES NOT Work completely. Folks, migration from one version to the other SHOULD work smoothly. This is totally annoying as a user, you can imagine.

Or, dear Affinity Team, please tell us an alternative solution that works. Because I actually could not find anything in the Help section.
