Denniscg Posted January 25, 2023 Posted January 25, 2023 This is in Affinity Photo V2. I'm trying to create a preset for a size of picture, different sizes, and cannot get it to stay set on one size without changing the other preset. Example. 30"x36" then I set another preset for 36" x 30". After setting the 36" x 30" it changes the 30" x 36" to 36" x 30". As soon as I try to change the numbers back it changes again. I cannot set one up for portrait and one for landscape. It keeps switching out the size so that they are both the same. I've even tried a different size complete and did a save as and it worked for the 1 different size but when I tried to do it in landscape it changed the numbers. Also took that size and tried to redo the and save as the 36 x 30 and it changed the one that was already there. I have about 50 presets and they are all doing the same thing according to the sizes 8x10 to 10x8 gets switched to 10x8 to 10x8. Quote

This is an "improvement" that has caused so much trouble for so many people. There are the Portrait and Landscape orientation buttons on the left part of the Presets window. The new system means this is universal, not saved per preset as it was in version one. Hopefully all the complaints and my additional comments will get Affinity to reconsider this. It is not something that affects me personally but I do see how people would need the original method of having two separate oriented Presets. And I am baffled as to why it was changed. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
Denniscg Posted January 25, 2023 Author Posted January 25, 2023 Thank you so much. I see it now. Not too well placed to be noticed. And understanding how one setup can be used for either orientation is also helpful. Could not find that in the tutorials. Your answer was much easier to understand. Thank you again. Quote
