SunnyeS Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Nothing shows up in my glyph browser, even though the glyphs are supposed to be available. In InDesign, they are displayed flawlessly on the same machine. Since apparently the special spaces like the number space also run through it, I can't insert this one, for example. The symbol is displayed, but not inserted. Can anyone help me with this? Quote

SunnyeS Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 Thank you! The font are Photina MT and Univers Quote
kenmcd Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 This is quite odd. In the Std and Pro newer versions of this font the Light is in a style group with the Bold, but it does not display like this in the Glyph Browser. Is this an old Type 1 font? Do any of the Univers fonts appear in the Glyph Browser? IIRC with Type 1 fonts the glyphs do not appear. What version is this Univers font family? Univers LT Std v1.029 family and styles do not display like this in the Glyph Browser. And the glyphs show fine. Regarding Photina MT - not sure what issue your image is supposed to show. Photina MT may be really old conversion fonts (and may be badly configured). The newer OTF releases are named Photina MT Std and Pro. Quote
thomaso Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 Affinity has known problems with Postscript Type 1 fonts. For my Univers I see an empty Affinity Glyph Browser, too, as for other postscript fonts, e.g. Meta, Rotis, The Sans etc. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/search/&q=postscript glyph browser&quick=1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
