Design by Birgit Posted January 24, 2023 Posted January 24, 2023 I make a lot of vector illustrations on my iPad and on desktop. I also like to use a nice brushstroke to the illustration. So I'm happy that I can use vector brushes in Affinity Designer. Only problem is that when I draw something by pen tool, it always starts in a default setting with no brush applied to it. But if I'm drawing I'd like to see the brushstroke I use straight away, not change every item I draw afterwards (which is a lot of extra work). Does any of you know a way that you can assign a brushstroke (temporarily) as the default to a pen stroke? Thanks in advance! Quote
Staff NathanC Posted February 23, 2023 Staff Posted February 23, 2023 Hey @Design by Birgit welcome to the forums & apologies on the late reply, As far as I'm aware it's not currently possible to synchronise/default a vector brush stroke when using the pen tool, defaulting will not retain the brush stroke when the pen tool is next used and a vector brush stroke can only be applied to an existing curve, this is the same on Desktop. Design by Birgit Posted February 24, 2023 Author Posted February 24, 2023 Hi NathanC, Thank you for your answer. It would be a nice addition in the future though! Especially for illustrator/designers like me who like to work with vector from the start. It would save me a lot of time! Quote
