alecspra
I am unclear about the following: what is the difference between shrinking the canvas size to fit only part of an image and cropping the same area? Cropping is easier but are there situations where shrinking the canvas might be better? I believe that both are non-destructive methods. Thanks if anyone can help clarify this point. Staff DWright Posted February 11, 2016 Staff Share Posted February 11, 2016 Hi alecspra, Both of these methods are non-destructive cropping resizes the image and canvas at the same time while the canvas resize changes the canvas size and the image sits on top in is original size, I normally use the document resize with larger images as this allows me to reposition the image on the canvas without having to undo a crop and then redo in the new position. alecspra
Hi DWright and thank you, When you say you use the "document resize" with larger images, I assume you mean "canvas resize", right? If that is so, then I understand better how to use the canvas vs crop resize.
Staff DWright Posted February 12, 2016 Staff Share Posted February 12, 2016 Yes I meant the canvas when I referred to document resize.
