Pasting text into text frames. Sometimes the text frame borders can be sized (up or down) without affecting the text that has been pasted. Other times the text moves up and down according the size of the frame and vertical line spacing is either squeezed or expanded - and the settings in the paragraph box have no effect. I dont think this is a bug, but I would like know how to stop or change the settings to allow / control one way or the other. I cannot see how to do it. Have tried 'paste without format' but this does not make any diference.

Thanks

That sounds like you have Frame Text.

And that sounds like you have Art Text. Or, possibly, if you do have Frame Text, like you are using the outer (detached) rescaling handle on the lower right rather than the resizing handles that are directly attached to the frame.

Publisher 2. Each line that I type in will not start and complete the full length of the text box. There are indents on each line at the start and end of each line. It did not do this previously so I have obviously unwittingly actioned a change and I cannot see to to revert back to normal./

Try menu command: Edit->Defaults->Revert

Edit: You need to select the text frame first.
