Publisher: Font Size Inconsistency

Recommended Posts

Hello all,
I'm making identical width images whose text sizes I want to match up as they are part of a multi-image collage (text scrolls for a Kickstarter campaign body).

Weirdly, in one file font size 5 looks like this:

and in another, I had to increase font size to 12 and it still looks smaller than 5 above:

In both cases it's the same font, in a text frame, in a file of identical width. Why in the second file does my text look so much smaller....and how can I fix it so font size 5 looks the same across all my files?

You might have adjusted the size of the text frame by using the lower-right handle; the one that is not actually attached to the frame. That one adjusts the frame size but also scales the text.

Instead, you should use the handles that are attached to the frame, which only resize the frame.

I suggest copying the text, deleting the text frame, recreating the text frame using the correct handles, and pasting the text back into it.

If that doesn't work, we might need to see your actual document to figure out the problem.
