Wrap group disapear when is converted to curves and five more other crashes/failures

Hey Serif team, this is a list of Affinity Designer errors I found on its last version 2:

System and hardware: Windows 10, PC workstation HP Z2 mini G4 with Nvidia P1000, 16G of RAM and Intel i7-8700 processor.

1. When I have several elements wraped and then I convert them to curves, all elements disapear and only remains invisible nodes. (see attached files)

2. Affinity Designer shut down on the start up when it loads the "Recent files" panel on the start up. I found it was an issue with some file thumbnail...I clear the recent files history and could open the software again.

3. The version 2 decreased the performance about a 30% compared to de Version 1. Many times there is a lag when I'm selecting text, like a micro-freezing. I tried with and without hardware acceleration enabled and increased the RAM usage limit. but is still the same.

4. Affinity Designer fails when I use a Publisher table from a Version 1 file. In general there are many problems if I work with a file that comes from the Version 1.

5. The thumbnail preview in the export window add a black background color to the design if I change the setting (see attached files)...in the attached file I changed the pixel format from CMYK to RGB. It doesn't happen if I add a white background to the whole arboard before the exportation.

6. The file decrease its performance A LOT if I use the "Contour Tool" on any font text. For now I have to convert the font first to curves, so I can't edit the text later.

That's all I can remember for now from my first week with the new V2, thank you for reading my post and I know you will manage all this issues, in the same way you did it with the V1 when it had many issues too.

Hi Jorge, 

I can't seem to recreate this issue regarding the disappearing curves here. Please could you check if these issues still occur in 2.0.4 and if they do could you provide a sample file and steps I can follow to recreate this problem?

Hey @Callum the issue is still happening in Designer 2.0.4. But I need to clarify that the problem is with the Contour Tool. I was confused  because I combined wrap tool with Contour Tool so I supposed that the issue was the Wrap tool but actually was the Contour Tool.

Here is the proof and you will find attached the .afdesign file.

Please open the affinity designer file,  everything is ready to fail 😅, just select the vector group and just click on "Convert to curves".

The screenshot below shows after and before converting to curves. The error only happens when the vectors with contour applied are grouped and you can't undo (ctrl +z) because the vector remain damaged.
