laurent32 Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 The Affinity standard shortcuts are in conflict with macOS standard shortcuts : So I try to change the Affinity shortcut : Strangely, the menu keep giving me : And cmd-: doesn't work… If I hit "Réinitialiser", I get cmd+\ ? To summarize : i start with cmd+` — then I ask for cmd+: — then I find that the menu says cmd+° — then I reset and I get cmd+\ There is definitely something wrong here… I'm sure it's not obvious to work on shortcuts "worldwide" with different systems and different keyboards… Even more when you already have to hit ctrl and/or alt and/or cmd and/or shift to just access special characters… Example : impossible to hit cmd-\ on a French keyboard (\ key not present) ; we would have to hit cmd (cmd shift /) and "cmd-cmd" doesn't exist ! Right now, it is important for me to access to "Retrait ici", I use it a lot !! Good luck with the shortcuts guys ! MikeTO Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 I duplicated the problem with the Indent to Here shortcut I set my keyboard to French I set Affinity to French The English shortcut was replaced by Cmd+` in Preferences>Shortcuts and in the Text>Insert menu. This shortcut shows a conflict. I changed the shortcut to Cmd+: like Laurent did and in the menu it was shown as Cmd+º Pressing Cmd+: or Cmd+º (which required a Shift) didn't work. So two problems: The default shortcut for Indent to Here needs to be reviewed The Cmd+: shortcut is displayed incorrectly in the menu Thanks laurent32 and walt.farrell 2 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.6 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.6 for macOS Sequoia 15.3, MacBook Pro (M4 Pro) and iPad Air (M2)
