Chain Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Hello Community While typesetting a business whitepaper with Affinity Publisher 2 I encountered a font related problem. Our designer developed a template for me to copy and adapt for each whitepaper. She used Work Sans Regular for the main copy. But when I open the file on my computer, the entire text is shown in Work Sans Thin (screenshot 1). I cannot change the font weight. The drop down menu shows only two options, but both of them appear nine times (screenshot 2). All nine versions are the same. The problem changes when I export the file to PDF (screenshot 3). The main copy works as intended in a PDF, but the headline is wrong. It changes from Poppins Bold to Poppins Light. I assume this is a local font bug on my part. But I don't know how to fix it. I already renewed my font cache to no effect. Could anyone help me out? I'm using Affinity Publisher 2.0.3 on a PC with Windows 10. Our designer uses the same version but on a Mac. Quote
walt.farrell Posted January 18, 2023 Posted January 18, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. You have a Variable version of the font installed on your system. Unfortunately, the Affinity applications do not support Variable fonts. You'll need to install a Static version of the font.
