Ilymom
I have been making brochures and other designs for my business using Publisher for years. I just switched to a mac and can't use Publisher. I'm trying Affinity Design and have made a beautiful design that was so easy to make but for some reason I can't figure out how to make a border around part of my design. If I use the shape tool it wants me to fill it with color. Is there an easier way to do this rather than drawing one in? I've tried the shape tool but it doesn't seem to allow an outline only. Thanks so much.
Dale
Hi Ilymom, welcome to the forums and to the Affinity community. Leave the shape with no fill - you just need to switch from colouring the fill to colouring the stroke (outline), using the control at the top left of the Colour panel. Also switch to the Stroke panel to make the stroke heavier. I'm purchasing Affinity Designer now! Dale and crabtrem
