ivanvanbeek
My file first had the problem that I could not merge layers on iPad and macOS because publisher freezes completely on both systems. then the same file that was merged couldn’t export to psd or jpg or any other format because it freezes completely also on iPad and macOS. Then I managed it to resize to 100x100cm 300 dpi (it was bigger) and could export but takes a lot of time. the source file is now unusable unfortunately. if file is needed let me know. MikeTO
Hi Ivan, are there any hyperlinks in the document? If so, there's a known issue with invalid hyperlinks causing export to PDF to fail. Even an extra space at the end of a URL you copied or pasted could cause the export to fail. You can check al of your hyperlinks one by one with the Hyperlinks panel. If you don't have any hyperlinks in your document, would you be able to share a test document here? ivanvanbeek
Hi MikeTO, thx for the fast update to this post. there are no links in the file, I upload it here. I think it’s something in the (group) layering. Wonder what it does with you if you merge. kind regards, ivan oumelvis.afdesign
MikeTO
Hi Ivan. I had no difficulty exporting this to pdf using 2.0.3 on Ventura. It was slower than I expected for my M1 Pro but it did export. But the reason it was slow is that the document was set to 138671px x 138671px which is a very large canvas. Try this - go to Document Setup, change it to mm or inches or whatever you prefer but not pixels since this is Designer, click the link icon between width and height, and change it a smaller size like 300mm x 300mm, or 8.5in x 8.5 in. Click Rescale and then click OK. Save your document - it won't change size. But when you export, it will be much faster and should be under 2MB instead of 74MB. Cheers Thanks, Mike Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.5 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.5 for macOS Sequoia 15.0.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)

You can choose the number of pixels you want when you export to a raster format like PNG or JPG. MikeTO
@ivanvanbeek I think you misquoted me somehow, typing your reply as a quote from me. Not a big deal.
