AdamZD
I'm a new user and doing well, got most of my book done, but I'm having a heckuva time with the Table of Contents. Specifically, it is showing items out of order, even though they have the proper headings. Here's how the items are laid out on the pages About this book (H1), then within that I have "What you need to play", "Why 'Referee', other topics including "Satori" What gets displayed in the TOC is: [indent] "What you need to play" [indent] "Why Referee" [No indent]"About this Book" [indent] Satori This happens for all of my topics and I've made sure to set H1 and H2 and H3 properly. I have looked at various help sources but haven't found anything. Thanks for helping out a new user.
walt.farrell
Items in the TOC are displayed in an order related to the Layers panel. So, assuming you do not have any Pinned text, for items within a particular page you must first look at the Text Frames and Art Text objects. A Text Frame (or Art Text) that is lower in the Layers panel is assumed to have been created first. Therefore, entries in that frame will appear in the TOC before entries from frames that are higher in the Layers panel. That often explains such issues. If you do have Pinned text, I know that it changes things, but I don't know exactly how.
