Spielbound
I have a canvas with text and two pasted PNGs. My problem is that the background of the PNGs doesn't match my canvas. I can't figure out how to make them match; either have the PNG images turn to the canvas color or vica versa. Thanks in advance for any help. Staff DWright Posted February 9, 2016 Staff Share Posted February 9, 2016 HI Spielbound, Welcome to the forum. I havs had a look at the attached image that you provided and the two PNG images have a white background while the text has a transparent background, I recommend removing the background from the two PNG's and it will then match with the text. Thanks. Now I gotta figure out how to do that. Is "transparent" a fill you apply like any other color?
crabtrem
I'm no expert. But, in my opinion. I am assuming you are using Affinity Photo. I would suggest going to the Document-Transparent Background, and unchecking that option. Seems like the easiest method to get all to match. Unless you want a transparent background that is? JimmyJack
And I will throw up a simple solution to make everything transparent (also in Photo). 1) If you want "Spiel Bound" to be transparent as well as the background: Go to Filters Dropdown > Colors > Erase white paper. Done :). Save as png with transparent background. or 2) If you want "Spiel Bound" to stay white and only the background to be transparent: Lasso select around Spiel Bound, Invert Selection, Erase White Paper. Done :) Save as png with transparent background. (Edit FYI: I'm shying away from suggestion a magic wand selection of the white and then delete because the person icon is a little rough around the edges. You would have to clean that up in additional steps)
