Claude Merger
Hi, one of my friend told me about your product. I am doing genealogy and analyzing very old documents. In order to increase the readability of those documents I am looking for a software or a filter that works at pixels level. In order to eliminate spots, smearing, .... I am looking for a software that would display and histogram of all the pixels (from black to white) and select a specific pixel or a range of contiguous pixels and remove all the selected pixels from the image or change their greyscale colors to any different color ( red for example) in order to clean the image or highlight a writing. I have attached, as an example, an image of such a document. I have been looking around for a few months, but none of the Photo softwares I have reviewed do not have this kind of features. My friend told me about your specific filters. Would anyone of those could do the job? Looking forward for your reply. Best regards
MikeTO
I work with similar documents and yes, Photo is the type of app you'd use to clean this up this. The real problem is the scan is very poor quality but I realize that replacing it likely isn't an option. I don't think you'll get great results with any app for this particular document but Photo can do this sort of thing. I recommend downloading the trial version and giving it a go yourself before buying, but don't dawdle, the 40% off sale ends on January 25.
