Why Can't I seem to get v2 to work without crashing!!

It has been months now since I installed v2.  I mostly work out of Designer, regardless, it started when I attempted to export svg.  Apparently you couldn't do that without crashing the program.  So I had to revert to using v1.  Now months later and I'm attempting to just use v2, well half way through for no reason I get the rainbow circle of death for longer than a minute, indicating to me a crash is a about to happen.  Yep, sure enough it crashed.  So I dig through the support forums and found a "start application holding down ctrl, then reset to defaults". I do that and it warns me any v1 files will not be accessible if I save them as v2.  Ok got it I'll save as, go to save as, nope, stalls then crashes on me.  I literally have not been able to do one thing in the new v2.  I have two workstations.  Both intel Macbook pro's, very good machines, not using M1's.  I just don't see what the problem is, I'm almost tempted to look elsewhere.

Please let us know which OS you're using, and please confirm which release you're running. We know from your description that it's some form of macOS, and probably 2.0.3 of the application (that is, the most recent update), but it would be good to know for sure.

Is there any commonality in what you're doing when you get the crashes now?

Can you provide one of the crash reports?

FWIW, resetting to defaults via the Control key startup method has nothing to do with triggering that warning. It was something that should have been in V2.0 of all 3 Affinity apps but was overlooked. That was fixed in the V2.0.3 releases.
