converting .PSDs to .AFPHOTOs

I no longer use PS Elements, as AF handles the old .PSDs just fine.  But it's hard to browse folders containing a mix of PSD and AFPHOTO files.  Windows Explorer shows thumbnails for the AFPHOTOs but not the PSDs.   FastStone shows the PSDs but ignores the AFPHOTOs.  Exposure X6 shows the PSDs, not the AFPHOTOs.  And so on.  It's a mess.

I need a way to convert a bunch of PSDs to AFPHOTOs without the tedium of loading and saving each one manually.   It sure would be great if AF had a scripting language, but it doesn't.

Any suggestions?

Well even scripting would of course be fine, you actually can batch process the file conversion of PSD -> APhoto, so slightly automate to convert a bunch of PSD files at once.
