Break lines

Hi!

 

Here I'd like to break the background-lines based on content above,
then only use parts of those lines. Can I do that? How?

Hi @GeirSol,

If you just want to have a space between the notes and the lines, place the lines under the key and notes.
Select the key and notes, "Add" and apply a white border of the desired thickness.
The lines will remain whole.

Thanks! But I want the lines broken for custom deletion and styling.

In this case, select the lines, "Expand Stroke", "Add".
Then select the lines and notes (already "Add"), "Divide". You can then select each segment, and edit as you wish.

G13RL: Note that you seem to have cut the notes into little pieces (I can see thin white lines in them), which may not be what GeirSol wanted.

@GeirSol, As @GarryPpoints out, it may be necessary to do "Add" again with the different segments that make up the notes and the key, and this may take some time.

I didn't manage to use divide.
Did it manually.
